Welcome to the Parish of St Stephen, Skipton with Masses at St Stephen's Church, St Margaret Clitherow in Threshfield and Sacred Heart Chapel, Broughton Hall

St Margaret Clitherow

St Margaret Clitherow, Threshfield is part of the parish of St Stephen's, Skipton. The church is in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and serves the communities of Upper Wharfedale, including Littondale and extending as far north as Langstrothdale.

While the geographical area served by the church is very large, there are fewer than 100 parishioners although the congregation is significantly increased by the numerous holiday makers who come to the upper dale, and who are always welcome.

The church was built in 1973, and is one of very few churches dedicated to local saint St Margaret Clitherow who was martyred in York in 1586.

Mass is said here every Sunday at 9.00am
