CAFOD Lent Fast day - Friday 26th February

This year the focus is on water. 1 in 3 people around the world don't have clean safe water. This Lent CAFOD are asking us to make a powerful difference to many peoples' lives. By giving on line or in the collection next weekend you can help provide boreholes and solar powered water pumps to remote communities.  You can help to save lives.

To donate online please text CAFOD 70480 to donate 5 pounds, or go to our Just Giving Page at:

You can also sign up to walk 10,000 steps a day for 40 days in Lent. This can be done as an individual or as a group. Click Walk for Water for more information.

On Saturday 20 February, you can join The Big Walk for Water, a virtual walk in solidarity with people who need to walk to collect clean water, and in community with hundreds of people in England and Wales.

CAFOD Climate Change Petition

On Sunday 1 September 2019 the Justice and Peace group, with support from Bronagh at CAFOD Leeds, organised a Creation Mass to celebrate the beauty of God’s creation and to highlight the threats to our planet. After Mass we had an inter-generational discussion where older members of the congregation shared their experiences with the enthusiasm of youth. Inspired by fourteen year old Ben, a group of us went litter picking on Sunday 15 September around Skipton and collected several bulging bags of rubbish.
